BMX enthusiasts from Rhyl and beyond have gathered to compete in final race of the winter.

Cyclists from as far afield as Preston gathered at Marsh Tracks, on the Glan Y Morfa industrial estate, to compete for the title across various age and skill classes in the fourth the Dragon Riders’ Winter Series title.

A spokesperson for the Dragon Riders BMX club said: "Racing was fast and weather conditions were perfect.

"We had many competitors who had travelled the distance from Knowsley, Manchester, Crewe, Preston & Blackpool to compete for the title.

"There were both novice and expert categories and this being the final round meant many where jostling for places to be crowned the overall series champion in their respective age categories."

The Dragon Riders have sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 6pm, with coaching takes place on Saturdays at 10.45am.
