Police say that an incident in John Street, Rhyl, on Sunday, where a man had been seen throwing knives from an upstairs window, is now resolved.

In a tweet at 4.35pm police said: "The incident on John Street in #Rhyl has now been resolved. Thank you.£

Earlier today, an eyewitness said that a man could be seen and heard shouting at officers below who were asking him to give himself up.

Two armed response vehicles were also in the street which was closed off to the public

In a tweet, North Wales Police said: "Officers are currently dealing with an incident on John Street, Rhyl. No risk to the public.

"The road is closed, but please avoid the area."

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have a fire crew at the scene and there is also an ambulance along with as many as eight or nine police vehicles.
