A FUNDRAISING drive has been launched to help a lovable border collie who is in desperate need of a procedure.

Cleo came to the Abandoned Animals Association on Ffordd Ffynnon, Prestatyn, in October 2018.

Staff noticed Cleo had problems controlling her back legs.

She was rehomed with experienced Collie owners, but it came apparent from her behaviour that her condition was getting worse and she was returned to the centre.

Vets suspect that Cleo has a spinal problem, which means she doesn't have control of her hind legs.

She desperately needs a specialist scan to accurately diagnose her condition; an MRI scan can cost up to £1,500.

Carol Roberts, rescue centre manager at Abandoned Animals Association, said: "Without a scan, Cleo's future is unclear.

"She came to us after her owner passed away.

"It was a sad day for us all when she was returned to us.

"She is a beautiful seven-year-old Collie who deserves to live life to the fullest and we want to give her the best opportunity to grow old with a family who love her."
