A FULL calendar of activities and social events have been organised for residents in Rhyl.

Hopping straight to it, for Easter there will be stilt walking bunnies who will be bringing the high street to life on Saturday, April 20 between 11am and 2pm.

The rabbits will be handing out chocolates and sweet treats.

A one-day travelling circus will be coming to the town on July 13 between 11am and 4pm.

The event will have something for all the family including a balloon modeller, hula hoop artist, crazy mirrors, circus and magic workshops, Punch and Judy performances and face painters.

A stilt-walking ringmaster will keep the show on the road.

For Halloween, there will be witches and plenty of spooky going-ons and and Rocking Rhyl will hit the right notes in December with a free disco for children and a visit from a very festive guest.

Rhyl Mayor cllr Win Mullen-James said: "All of the town council events are free, providing great entertainment and something different for residents and visitors.

"We’ll have acts and activities that haven’t been to the area before and, alongside the key events, we’ll also be bringing some light entertainment to the town centre at Easter and Halloween.

"Our community events are planned around the larger Rhyl events, ensuring there is something happening pretty much all year around."
