ENTRIES are now open to recognise residents and community groups for their hard work.

Denbighshire Housing has launched a brand new set of awards to honour the achievements of tenants and their work in the community.

The inaugural award ceremony will be hosted at 1891, at the Rhyl Pavilion, on Wednesday, May 8.

Entries are invited for Tenant, Housing Resident or Community Group, Denbighshire Housing Customer Services, Young Tenant, Garden of the Year for both community and tenant categories and best Community Project.

Councillor Tony Thomas, cabinet lead member for housing, said: “There’s a tremendous amount of good work going on in local communities to improve the quality of life for residents. Communities also work together on local projects aimed at local people.

“Improving housing is a priority for the Council and hosting our first awards will be a great way of honouring individuals and communities for their commitment and we would encourage nominations from communities across Denbighshire”.
