THE penultimate performance of Rhyl Music Club’s International Concert Series 2018/19 will welcome a Europe spanning duo to the stage tonight.

Bulgarian born cellist Michael Petrov and British pianist Erdem Misirlioglu will present a sublime programme to presage the climax of another fantastic season of music at Rhyl Little Theatre.

Petrov was nominated by the Barbican as Echo Rising Star in 2015 and has performed widely in Europe appearing at major concert halls including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Cité de la Musique Paris, Musikverein Vienna, Budapest Palace of Arts, Kölner Philharmonie and the Laeiszhalle Hamburg.

In 2008 Erdem was a Concerto Finalist in the BBC Young Musicians Competition performing Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales

Together, the pair will present a programme featuring a sonata from PoulenC, a cello suite in G major by Bach and Cesar Franck’s sonata in A.

The series final show takes place on Wednesday, March 20.
