THE Mayor of Colwyn Bay has called upon businesses in the town to come together to form a traders’ association.
Steve Williams is holding a Meet the Mayor event at the town hall on Monday February 25 at 5:30pm to kick start the project.
Steve said: “This event is aimed at local businesses to get them to come together and work on ideas on how to improve the business community and attract more people into the town centre.
“I believe in working in collaboration as this will give greater strength towards improving the business community here. I want to form a Colwyn Bay traders’ association as we no longer have the Chamber of Trade and I think businesses need to be represented.”
He added: “Colwyn Bay has come a long way over the last 10 years and has a more positive outlook. For example, Penrhyn road has now become known as the Penrhyn strip is an illustration which shows how a place can change.”
