A 24-year-old man who “took cannabis to help him sleep and cocaine to cheer him up” was banned from the road for 18 months on Monday.
Jake Wynne of Cil y Bont, Prestatyn, pleaded guilty to driving a Honda car in Rhyl last October with an excess of both drugs in his blood.
Justin Espie, prosecuting at Llandudno court, said he’d been stopped by police for driving erratically.
Nia Dawson, defending, said: “He’s genuinely contrite, these offences are out of character.
"He says he took cannabis to help him to sleep and cocaine to cheer him up. He’s stopped using drugs at all.”
Deputy District Judge Anita Price ordered him to pay £405 in a fine and costs as well as the disqualification.
