A MIGHTY Fine evening is in store for Vale of Clwyd music enthusiasts on Valentine's Day.

Ruthin Acoustic Music will be offering a warm welcome to Brandon Ridley on Thursday, February 14.

He will be appearing at the Feathers Inn, Ruthin, from 8pm.

Rhyl singer / songwriter Brandon will be showcasing half-a-dozen songs from his newly released album “Mighty Fine Broke and Free”, which is out this month.

He has been working closely with the Goat Ropers Rodeo Band and is due to appear with them on some dates from their forthcoming tour.

The evening is very much a singers’ night too, so people are invited to take along their instruments.

Interested performers are asked to arrive before 8.20pm to register for a floor spot.

With dozens of musicians, some visiting occasionally and some fairly regularly, every week is different.

On a typical week, there can be between eight and 15 performers, each doing two or three numbers, providing a broad mix from folk to blues to R&B, from country to Celtic to charts.

Entry is £1.50 and doors open at 7.30pm, with the music starting at 8pm.
