A TOWN'S beauty spot is celebrating the reopening of its cafe following refurbishment works.

The supporters of Rhyl Botanical Gardens have revamped their community cafe with a lick of paint.

This has followed fundraising and support from volunteers. The group have also been able to have a brand new kitchen, floor and the dining area floor.

Janet Wright, chairperson of the volunteer group that looks after the gardens, said: "The supporters are a local community group who have successfully run the cafe and community centre since 2003 by means of voluntary helpers.

"With our fundraising efforts and support of our fabulous volunteers we have completed this work.

"To enable us to do this we had to close the cafe over the Christmas period and we are happy to report that it is open again for business."

The group is looking for volunteers to help cook or serve in the cafe. Email rhylbotanicalgardens@yahoo.co.uk or pop into the cafe.

The venue is open every weekday from 12.30pm until 3.30pm and 10.30am to 3.30pm at weekends.
