BRITAIN'S next biggest superstar could be uncovered in Rhyl this spring.

Popstar wannabes can start their bid to win of the nation when auditions for the 16th series of The X Factor take place at the Late Lounge, on the High Street, on Thursday, March 21.

For one night only, Prestatyn events planners and SFX retailers The Garden Den, who are currently in the beginning stages of hosting Wales' First Drag Off in September, will host an open mic session as part of the first stages of this year's competition.

Danielle Johnson, of The Garden Den said: "We were contacted early last week by the producers of the show, and we were really quite shock to be asked. We're so proud and excited to be a part of this.

"2019 is shaping up to be a very good year for The Garden Den and Rhyl."

While this is The Garden Den's first time working with X Factor producers, they were one of the organisers of last year's Wales Got Talent competition in Rhyl.

The acts that are shortlisted will then go through and audition live on in front of the ITV's X Factor team and film crew.

Anyone interested in registering to audition or to be an audience member can do so by visiting gardenden.co.uk or the shop on Bastion Road, Prestatyn. The closing date is Thursday, February 28.
