THE new captains have driven in at the Vale of Llangollen Golf Club.
Gents captain for 2019 is Phil Gee, with Andy Brown his vice captain.
Phil joined the Vale of Llangollen Golf Club eight years ago as the club steward after being in the pub and restaurant trade locally.
He retired two years ago and such was his popularity that the club asked him to be captain.
Alyson Greenwood is the new ladies' captain, with Margaret O'Sullivan the ladies' vice captain.
She came to live in the area back in 2005 from Rossendale in Lancashire and has been an integral part of the ladies' section ever since.
