THE second première in unmissable series celebrating the work female Welsh composers is set to usher in the year with more incredible classical music.

The next half of Rhyl Music Club’s 2018-19 International Concert Series sounds off on Wednesday, January 9 with violinist Mary Hofman and pianist Richard Ormrod playing the second of the "Beethoven in Wales" sonata trilogy.

The evening will also feature a new composition commissioned by the club by Sarah Lianne Lewis who, will attend the premiere as part of the club's celebration of Welsh female composers.

Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, Lewis' compositions often explores instrumental textures and aural architecture of performance spaces, and have been featured in several British and European classical music festivals.
