RHYL have been handed an away tie as they look to reach the last eight of the JD Welsh Cup.

The Lilywhites booked their place in the hat with a fine win over top six JD Welsh Premier League side Newtown last weekend, and they have been rewarded with a clash at fellow giant-killers Cambrian and Clydach BGC.

The Rhondda Valley side have enjoyed a memorable campaign of cup success so far this term, reaching the Nathaniel MG Cup final thanks to a stunning victory over current top-flight champions The New Saints.

They secured a spot in the last 16 with a last-gasp triumph at Denbigh Town and will pose another big test for Eddie Maurice-Jones’ side as they go in search of adding to the Lilies’ rich history of achievements in the competition.

Undoubtedly the tie of the round comes at the VSM Stadium, with Huws Gray Alliance side Bangor City draw at home to nearby rivals Caernarfon Town.

Welsh Alliance outfit Llangefni Town will aim to take another WPL scalp on home soil in the form of Llandudno, with second tier pacesetters Airbus Broughton welcoming TNS.

There are also three all-WPL affairs with Carmarthen Town hosting Connah’s Quay Nomads, Cardiff Met travelling to Aberystwyth Town and Barry Town United at home to Cefn Druids.

JD Welsh Cup fourth round: Carmarthen Town vs Connah’s Quay Nomads, Haverfordwest County vs Flint Town United/Bala Town, Bangor City vs Caernarfon Town, Barry Town United vs Cefn Druids, Airbus Broughton vs The New Saints, Rhyl vs Cambrian and Clydach, Aberystwyth Town vs Cardiff Met, Llangefni Town vs Llandudno.
