CHRISTMAS has come early for pupils of Kinmel Bay schools.
Ahead of the start of Advent on December 1, 470 pupils of Ysgol Y Foryd and Ysgol Maes Owen received a special Christmas treat from Tir Prince race course in Towyn.
Adam Williams and Eric Witherspoon met with pupils of both schools at Ysgol Maes Owen before its Christmas fair, where they were each presented with a chocolate selection box.
Deputy Mayor and Maes Owen governor cllr Morris Jones said: "The children were overjoyed. The headteacher from Ysgol Y Foryd Mrs Rowlands and Mrs James from Ysgol Maes Owen said thank you and that the Children will take their gifts home on the last day of school term.
"Many of them live in deprived areas and might not get a selection box this Christmas, which is very helpful at this .
"It's more than Christmas spirit, it's a very unique thing for a business to do for schoolchildren and just goes to show that there is an awful lot of community spirit too in the area."
