DOGS are getting their gnashers into some haute cuisine.

From pigs and buffalo ears, duck wings to ostrich kebabs, pooches are being treated to a variety of delectable treats thanks to natural raw food business in Kinmel Bay, TopK9Nosh.

Run by Kim Reilly, 54, and Rachel Kewley, TopK9Nosh moved into its new premises on the Tir Llwyd Industrial Estate last month.

Rachel, who owns a boxer/greyhound cross, Bella, said: “After reading several raw-related books and understanding the benefits of what a dog needs for a healthy balanced diet without fillers and additives, Kim produced the recipe as she felt her dogs were not getting the food they needed to promote their health, coat, teeth and general wellbeing.

“I met Kim in Feb 2015 and recently rescued a dog named Bella. Kim looked after Bella on a regular basis [Kim also runs k9 carers].

“Bella was so nervous at first and she struggled with kibble and tinned food. I tried everything.

“Kim introduced me to raw and the rest in history.”

The women set up the company in August 2016 but it is only now they have moved into a unit.

Kim, who has seven dogs, is married to Les and has three stepchildren.

The 54-year-old said: “The majority of our treats are 100 per cent natural and include duck feet, duck wings, chicken feet, pigs ears, buffalo ears, rabbit ears, pizzles, lamb shoulder, ostrich kebabs and heaps more.

“Fortunately the majority of dogs that have our food absolutely love it.

“It has made a vast difference to dogs with skin problems and smelly breath.

“Dogs are much calmer as there are no artificial additives or preservatives.”

Rachel, 45, who is married to Pete and has a stepson, Sam, added: “Bella was extremely thin rescue dog and I struggled to find a kibble/tinned meat that she would it.

“A TopK9Nosh premium raw meal, along with meaty raw bones, has made a huge difference to her behaviour, coat, teeth, eyes and general wellbeing.

"I know I’m biased, but Bella’s teeth are amazing. She looks a million dollars.”
