Plans create a new washdown system at the town's lifeboat station have been put forward.
Applicant Robin Parry, at RNLI West Quay Road Poole, has submitted a proposal - to install a secure cabinet to house a standpipe/washdown system and for the construction of a new water service - at Rhyl Lifeboat on Marine Parade.
The system will cater for their new Shannon-class lifeboat, to arrive at the station in late 2019.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "With the anticipated arrival of the new Shannon class lifeboat and associated equipment, the RNLI has submitted plans to create a new wash-down system at Rhyl Lifeboat Station.
"The existing hoses and wash-down facilities will be inadequate once the new lifeboat and equipment arrives, as extra pressure is required to successfully clean the new tractor and carriage for the Shannon class lifeboat.
"This proposal is for a dedicated water supply at increased pressure to a cabinet near the slipway, to which can be connected the necessary new hoses for the system as and when necessary."
