WEEKLY classes have been launched at Rhuddlan's new outdoor gym.
Exercise equipment has been installed on the Admiral's Playing Field. The Fresh Air Gym, as it is named, was officially opened by cllr Gareth Rowlands, mayor of Rhuddlan.
Residents can stretch their arms and legs at the facility and make use of 10 pieces of equipment. There are two pieces, designed specially for children, and two for people in wheelchairs.
Cllr Rowlands said: "The Fresh Air Gym will provide people of all ages and abilities to take part in physical activities in a very attractive and safe environment. "
The facility is free to use. Grants were secured from Tesco - Bags of Help, Burbo Bank - Extension Community Fund, National Lottery – Awards for All and Denbighshire County Council Commuted Sums Scheme.
The fitness sessions will be held on Mondays, from 9.30am until 10.30am and on Wednesday from 6pm until 7pm.
