AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a 48-year-old woman who was found wedged between her bed and the wall.

Susan Rowlands died at Dyserth Care Home, Dyserth, on May 26, 2018.

Ms Rowlands was unemployed.

Opening the inquest at Ruthin on Monday (June, 4) John Gittins - coroner for North Wales East and Central - said she was identified by a carer after staff found her wedged between her bed and the wall.

Mr Gittins said staff were unable to put her back in the bed due to her size and weight.

The bed was removed and she was discovered to be in cardiac arrest.

The hearing was adjourned, with a full inquest set to be held in November.
