THE organiser of a car show is revved up and ready for a town's annual event.

Prestatyn Classic Car Show will take place on Monday, May 28 and a classic car run will be held on Sunday, May 27.

Tim Williams, event organiser, said: "We want to stress that this is not just a classic car show but a show of all types of vehicles.

"Examples of diversity already entered at this year's show are a 1967 Kawaski A1-R an Isle of Man TT Clubmans class winning motorcycle, contrasted against a beautifully restored 1950 Bedford O type lorry.

"Modern classics are also welcome. In fact, the car of the show last year was a 1980 Ford Escort 1300 Sport, a car that is becoming increasingly rare and extremely valuable.

"There are also classes for military vehicles, American classics, motorsports cars and of course, the show stopping supercars."

Last year, thousands of automobile fans flocked to the summer event to admire and photograph hundreds of classic cars.

The day starts at 9am. There will be stalls, children's entertainment and refreshments on the Edwardian Vicarage lawn.

There is still time for people to gain free entry to exhibit their vehicle.
