DADS have received some hair-styling tips for their children in fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Coleg Llandrillo Hairdressing students organised a range of events at the college’s Rhyl campus, raising £130 in support of one of their members whose young son who is currently being treated for cancer.
One initiative, Hair For Dads, gave fathers of small children the opportunity to learn and practise some simple hair-up techniques.
Coleg Llandrillo hairdressing lecturer Alison Gough said: “It was a fantastic day and praise should go to the students who worked tirelessly in the run-up."
The group of level three – A-level equivalent – students manned a range of stalls and organised several competitions in the college’s main reception area
They set up a cake stall and a children’s toy stall and organised a 'build-a-bear' raffle.
The students also offered nail-painting and hair-braiding, ingeniously titled ‘Plaits for Pounds’.
Ms Gough added: “The feedback was extremely positive and the money raised will go to a worthwhile cause.”
