The Llandudno Rotary Club had joined forces with the Stroke Association in an attempt to raise awareness around causes of this serious medical condition.
High blood pressure is one of the biggest risk factors for strokes so the Llandudno Rotary Club will be offering free blood pressure tests on Saturday, April 14 from 10am until 1pm at St John Methodist Church on Mostyn Street.
Rotary President, John New, said: "Know Your Blood Pressure Day on April 14, 2018, is all about raising awareness of the link between high blood pressure and stroke.
"Every five minutes stroke strikes in the UK, but with events like these, we hope to change this.
"A blood pressure test is quick and painless, and it could save your life.”
In addition to the events taking place this coming Saturday, there are blood pressure checks at community events throughout the year. To find your nearest blood pressure event, you can visit www.stroke.org.uk/kybp.
