In a video on his Twitter page this morning, Ash said: "I have always been interested in China since I ventured there back in 2010. I left and felt like I had just touched the surface I was always curious about taking on an adventure there and experience first hand the wonders of this massive country."

The walk will includes bears, wolves and snakes as well as the highest river source in the world at an altitude of more than 5100 metres.
