IT'S THAT time of year again - when Rhyl Marine's Lake undergoes its winter inspection.

Denbighshire County Council have put up signs informing residents that the lake is being drained. Draining gives DCC the chance to inspect and repair the banks

A spokesman from the local authority said: "We have dropped the water levels at Marine Lake since Monday, February 5, so that we can carry out the winter maintenance programme – clearing out debris, carrying out works to the revetments etc.We do this every year as part of the maintenance programme.

"We have put notices up around the lake so that people do not get alarmed when they see the lake so empty."

It is anticipated that the lake will be re-filled from the second week in March, ready for the Spring season.
