Twelve years ago yesterday, Tyler Molloy was born in the Glan Clwyd Hospital 10 weeks premature and weighing just over 2lbs.

To this day, her parents believe it is the care their daughter received from the staff in the special care baby unit (SCBU) at the hospital that allowed her to survive.

Now Tyler she has found a way to repay the team there.

Recently she succeeded in climbing Snowdon and raised £1,210 for the unit for the unit in doing so.

Her father, Stephen, said the family were over the moon with Tyler's achievement.

He said: "We’ve always felt that if it wasn’t for the amazing care that Tyler received from all the staff on the SCBU ward she may not have been with us.

"So when Tyler wanted to climb Snowdon and raise some money it was SCBU that she wanted to give the funds to.

"As a family we would like to thank all the staff for their amazing level of care Tyler received."
