DENBIGHSHIRE County Council will be the hardest hit by proposed budget cuts.
The Welsh Government has announced proposals to make cuts to its funding of county councils across Wales.
At the moment county councils get 80 per cent of their funding directly from the government in Cardiff.
Lesley Griffiths AM, Minister for Local Government, has proposed that Denbighshire County Council will recieve funding next year that is £7 million less then this years grant.
This is a cut of 4.6 per cent and along with Powys and Ceredigion is the largest cut in Wales.
Gwynedds funding has been cut by 4.1per cent.
In today’s statement Lesley Griffiths said: “Today’s settlement is delivered against an unprecedented, challenging financial context, however, the settlement continues to ensure an appropriate settlement for local government in Wales to enable them to protect vital services in the face of severe funding pressures.”
