AN ACTRESS from Rhyl is working alongside top television stars during a two-week long production in Manchester.

Kimberly Hart Simpson, 25, is rubbing shoulders with members from popular TV dramas, including Coronation Street, Footballers Wives, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Eastenders, and many more.

Miss Simpson, a former Rhyl High pupil, is part of the JB Shorts cast, a production by Real Life Theatre Company, that is written by leading writers on the country’s most popular soaps.

“It is a big deal, not only to work with actors I respect, but also to work with the writes, directors and audience members that come to the show,” she said.

“It’s my dream to be a part of the soap scene - and this is an amazing opportunity because producers from across the BBC and ITV come and watch the show.

“Most of the actors are still on television, and have had permission from their place of work to do this play, as the show is very highly thought of in the industry - so I am really proud to be a part of this.”

Miss Simpson left Rhyl for London 10 years ago to pursue her dream of becoming an actress, and completed a three year course at the world famous Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, where celebrities such as Russell Brand and Pixie Lott once attended.

JB Shorts began on October 9, and Miss Simpson, who now lives in Manchester, will be performing with the cast at the Joshua Brooks Bar and nightclub, until October 20.
