FILMING for a children's show took place on Prestatyn beach.

Actor Andy Day, best known for his work on CBeebies, where he has presented various shows and on-screen presentation since 2007, was spotted on Monday, June 21. Susan Lawton snapped these clear photographs of the cast and crew.

BBC Children’s publicity team to the Journal that the filming was for CBBC's wacky comedy drama Andy and the Band.

Others spotted filming taking place at the Nova Prestatyn on Beach Road and vans parked up in the car park.

Andy was said to be looking a little bit chilly!

Andy has fronted his own BAFTA-nominated series for CBeebies, Andy's Wild Adventures as well as Andy's Dinosaur Adventures, Andy's Prehistoric Adventures, Andy's Safari Adventures and most recently Andy's Aquatic Adventures.

Andy starred in CBeebies' enchanting production of A Midsummer Night's Dream as Peter Quince and is well known for his work on Get Set Go and Big Fun Time with co-presenter Sidney Sloane.

He also filmed the Nuzzle and Scratch cinema trails, aired throughout the UK and has starred in four UK arena tours for CBeebies Live in association with BBC Worldwide.

In 2009 he was nominated for a Children's BAFTA award for Best Presenter.
