RICHARD E. JONES Farmer and Councillor. "Llys Menyn", Pengwern Farm, Bodelwyddan. Richard was buried on 9th September 2013, and Alice, Wyn, Huw and family wish to express their sincere appreciation for all the expressions of sympathy and the unstinting support and affection extended to them by family, friends, neighbours, past and present councillors and officers of Denbighshire County Council and Town Council, fellow farmers and colleagues of Richard and Alice, Wyn and Huw. They appreciated all the messages, kindly visits, phone calls, hundred of cards, letters, emails, flowers and gift, together with generous donations in memory of Richard, amounting to �3,000 towards Marie Curie Nurses and Ysgol y Faenol, Bodelwyddan. They thank Dr. Ian Reid, Pen y Pont Surgery for his constant kind care and the staff of the Chemist Shop next door in St. Asaph, sister Deilwen, Dafydd and team of District Nurses, Marie Curie Nurses, Macmillan Nurse Bethan and Specialist Nurse Ali. The family wish to express their utmost gratitude to Ann and Glyn, Alice's sister and brother-in-law for their unstinting support and kindness which enabled Richard to remain in the loving care of his family, according to his wishes. Thank you to a very special Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Chest Physician, Dr Ambalavanan, for his extraordinarily compassionate care of Richard, the memory of which will remain with them always. Thank you to the Rev'd Ian Day for his ministration at the service at St. Margaret's Church and Churchyard, assisted by Rev'd Canon Dafydd Roberts whose help and friendship brought the family great comfort and reassurance, to friend David Roberts, the church organist, Geraint Roberts and members of Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir for uplifting the congregations spirits, Dr Buddug Owen for her tribute to Richard, and D. Gwyn Jones for reading the poem. The bearers Huw Jones, Emyr Hughes, Glyn Jones, David Davies, Simon Parker and Keith Williams, and the ushers Geraint Davies, Geraint Mathews and Alun Jones, all of whom helped in every way. The family express gratitude to Deiniol Jones of R. W. Roberts & Son, Denbigh, for his kind and thoughtful support during a difficult time, and for arranging the funeral with dignity and respect. Finally a warm thank you to to each and every one of the hundreds of people who came to the church to bid Richard the last farewell. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
