A craft fair was a success as about 800 people gathered to view the displays of art.

Theatr Clwyd’s first craft fair was a success and had a brilliant turnout.

The fair saw a variety of art pieces displayed across 45 stalls.

The Mold arts hub offered a showcase to craft-makers from all over North Wales, with stalls in the foyer, bar, galleries and outside.

A wide range of crafts were represented including jewellery, pottery, woodcrafts, cards, glass work, driftwood gifts, scarves, bags, artist’s prints and cards, soft toys and needlecraft.

Visitors were also able to see artwork in this year’s North Wales Open Art Exhibition, with over 170 entries on display in the Oriel, Community and Education galleries at the theatre.

Sam Freeman, director of marketing said: “We were thrilled with the response to our craft fair where over 45 local artists and makers displayed and sold their work.

“It was a great platform for the incredible and beautiful work created by the talented crafts people in our local community.”
