LLANGEFNI Town moved level on points with Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One leaders Conwy Borough with a last-gasp 2-1 home win over Llandyrnog United.

The prolific Mark Roberts got the visitors off to a flyer with a well-taken effort on ten minutes, before Craig Roberts converted from the spot to level matters a minute before the break.

With the game heading to a stalemate, Matthew Jones gave the home side a crucial three points with a fierce effort on 92 minutes.

Llanrug United also remain in the title picture as goals from Aaron Hughes, Allan Mark Owen and Dylan Owen gave them a 3-1 success at Barmouth and Dyffryn United, but there was no such luck for Nantlle Vale, who had just a solitary effort from Phil Warrington to show from their 6-1 defeat at Greenfield.

Mynydd Llandegai also had nothing to show for their efforts as they fell to a 3-2 home reverse to St Asaph City, with Steve Tindall and Andy Barker hitting the target.

Pentraeth were unable to cause a stir at the Division Two summit as they were thrashed 7-1 at title favourites Prestatyn Sports despite taking the lead on nine minutes through Jack Diamond, while a hat-trick from Nathan Moore was the highlight of Aberffraw’s thrilling 4-2 triumph over Blaenau Amateurs.

Gareth Parry and Moses York were on target for Llanfairpwll in their 2-2 draw at Mochdre Sports, while Amlwch Town were held to a goalless draw at home to Llannefydd.

Llannerchymedd were on the end of a 6-0 home hammering at the hands of Meliden, with Matthew Griffiths helping himself to a hat-trick in the rout.
