LLANGEFNI Town suffered a shock Mawddach Challenge Cup exit as they were beaten 2-0 at Llannefydd.

Chris Roberts’ side can now fully concentrate on securing the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title after another cup loss, with Sam Jones and veteran midfielder Owain Roberts on target for the home side.

There was no such luck for Blaenau Amt, who were soundly beaten 6-1 at Llanrwst United with Kieron Ellis netting the consolation.

Llanberis picked up a huge Division One victory after overcoming Barmouth and Dyffryn United 1-0 on their travels thanks to a Jason Jones strike, and Mynydd Llandegai also picked up three points away from home as Craig Whelan and Andy Barker on target in their 3-0 triumph at Penrhyndeudraeth.

Struggling Trearddur Bay put in an improved performance before eventually falling to a 1-0 loss at Llandyrnog United, with the prolific Mark Roberts deciding the contest.

Nathan Moore struck twice for Aberffraw in their 5-2 win over Division Two rivals Mochdre Sports, but Gaerwen were unable to cause a stir at the summit and fell to a heavy 6-0 reverse at leaders Glan Conwy.
