RHYL and District returned to action with a workmanlike 15-5 home triumph over Bangor.

The contest was marred by a serious injury to a visiting player, who suffered a fractured leg and a dislocated ankle which brought proceedings to a halt late on.

In difficult conditions throughout, the home side grabbed the initiative early on when a blistering move resulted in Stuart Fell-Cook powering over the line, with Richie Williams firing over the extras.

Despite having a number of forwards missing due to work commitments, the hosts managed to impose themselves on proceedings further and extended their lead when the impressive Fell-Cook producing a fine individual run before setting up Reeve Wright to cross the white wash in the corner.

The home side continued to press and they managed to pull further clear thanks to a Williams penalty, and despite the visitors claiming a try in the second period it was not enough to prevent them from suffering a defeat.

The Dragons are now in fifth spot in the WRU National League Division Two North standings and 17 points behind second placed Shotton.
