RHYL and District secured derby day bragging rights with a resounding 45-13 win over Abergele.
The Dragons completed the double over their closest rivals in a scrappy game that eventually turned into a comfortable victory.
On a heavy pitch and with the home side showing all the signs of a four-week layoff, it was the visitors who started the brightest with some good early forward surges.
Rhyl eventually woke up and started to play the expansive rugby that has worked so well in recent games and Callum Morris, one of the few stand out players opened the scoring for the first of his brace.
Further tries came from Jack Hughes and Stuart Fell Crook with a pair each and one for Tom Williams rounded off the scoring.
Three conversions were added by Richie Williams and two by Jason Blackmore, and they face a stern test of their credentials this Saturday when they take on runaway WRU National League Division Two North leaders Denbigh.
