A HOST of Rhyl FC legends will turn out for club stalwart Jamie Brewerton’s testimonial next month.

The Lilywhites will take on a Bangor City Legends side on Friday, May 4 (7.30pm), which will mark the end of the defender’s association with the club during a trophy-laden career.

It promises to be a fantastic occasion at the Corbett Sports Stadium, and many former Lilies’ heroes will grace the field to honour the defender.

Those who have confirmed from the current squad boast 2,250 Welsh Premier League appearances and a whole host of silverware including several players from the all-conquering 2003/2004 squad that won the Domestic treble, the North Wales Challenge Cup and were losing finalists to Wrexham in the FAW Premier Cup.

Former managers Greg Stones and Gareth Owen will be part of the squad, as will current director of football Mark Connolly and Prestatyn Town boss Gareth Wilson.

The gifted striking trio of Lee Hunt, Matty Williams and Andy Moran are also scheduled to appear, as are club mainstays Timmy Edwards, Stuart Graves and Mark Powell.

A club spokesman, said: “With all of the top 10 most experienced players for Rhyl in the Welsh Premier League scheduled to be in the squad for this match, the event promises to be a night to remember for Rhyl supporters.
