RGC head coach Mark Jones has named a strong squad for their Principality Premiership clash with Bedwas on Saturday (4pm).

The Gogs return to action at Stadiwm Zip World in Colwyn Bay, and will be looking to get their title charge back on track following their disappointing loss at Pontypridd last time out.

Afon Bagshaw has been named in the starting line-up after impressing for the Wales 7s side in Hong Kong, while Dion Jones keeps his place at full-back.

New Zealand fly-half Jacob Botica is also in the 15 despite Jones outlining his place was under threat due to the form of Danny Cross, but the former has to be content with making an impact from the bench once again.

The influential trio of Tiaan Loots, Tom Hughes and Rhys Williams will also be looking to continue their excellent run of try-scoring form, while Alex Schwartz will be aiming to control the tempo of the game from the scrum-half position.

A powerful pack consisting of Curtis Reynolds, Evan Yardley, Jordan Scott, Maredydd Francis, Robin Williams, Andrew Williams, Mei Parry and Tim Grey has been chosen by the head coach, and there are plenty of impact players on a bench that includes Wales U20 star Sam Wainwright, Efan Jones and Joe Simpson.

RGC are currently 11 points behind top flight leaders Merthyr with a game in hand ahead of their clash with Bedwas, who sit in ninth spot and come into the contest on the back of an impressive 31-27 victory over Cardiff.

The game will also be shown live on S4C.
