RGC have named a strong squad for this weekend’s trip to Principality Premiership rivals Aberavon.

The Gogs could move top of the top flight standings should they emerge with a victory and other results go their way, and head coach Mark Jones has plenty of talent at his disposal as his side look to extend their unbeaten start to Phase Two.

There is plenty of firepower in the back-line despite the notable absence of Afon Bagshaw due to his involvement with the Wales 7s side, with try-scoring machines Tom Hughes, Iolo Evans and Tiaan Loots set to play huge parts in any success that comes their way.

The talented duo of Harri Evans and Dion Jones will also be expected to contribute significantly, while the tempo of play will be dictated by scrum-half Alex Schwartz and New Zealand fly-half Jacob Botica.

A formidable pack skippered by Maredydd Francis will be looking to impose themselves throughout the clash, with the likes of Robin Williams, Evan Yardley and Alex Taylor looking to continue their excellent recent form.

Jones also has considerable experience on the bench to call upon when required, which features Wales U20 international Sam Wainwrright, former Welsh youth international Efan Jones and livewire Danny Cross.

Dion Jones, Iolo Evans, Tom Hughes, Tiaan Loots, Harri Evans, Jacob Botica, Alex Schwartz, Curtis Reynolds, Evan Yardley, Jordan Scott, Maredydd Francis (capt), Robin Williams, Andrew Williams, Alex Taylor, Tim Grey.

Replacements: George Roberts, Joe Simpson, Sam Wainwright, Bryn Jones, Will Bryan, Efan Jones, Danny Cross, Rhys Williams.
