RGC star Tim Grey called on his side to build on their positive momentum ahead of their clash with Carmarthen Quins on Saturday (2.30pm).

The forward was one of the key contributing factors in the Gogs’ Principality Premiership success at Stadiwm Zip World, which was the first of three consecutive home games as they look to get their hands on the top-flight crown for the first time in their history.

Grey, said: “We have made a huge effort over the past couple of weeks conditioning wise, and you could see that in the last 20 minutes.

“Initially we didn’t start that well, the boys were excited to be back playing and probably we had too many voices early on.

“Once we settled and Efan (Jones) and Danny (Cross) started to control the play, we began to play.

"The conditions were pretty wet and probably offloaded too much early on, and as you saw we went through four or five phases to set up our attacks and that worked.

“We have work to do at the scrum, and with Charlie Connolly coming in add a new dimension to the pack.

“It was important to get the win, and the bonus point gives us some momentum with two more home games coming up.”

Quins also harbour ambitions of lifting the Premiership trophy and currently sit in second spot.
