PRESTATYN Town star Noah Edwards has been called-up to train with the Wales C squad ahead of a high-profile international fixture.

The midfielder has been a shining light for the Seasiders once again this term, and he will link-up with brother and Connah’s Quay Nomads talent Kai during the initial training stage.

Bangor City star Danny Gosset and Llandudno forward Toby Jones were named in Mark Jones’ 18-man squad to take on England at Barry Town United’s Jenner Park Stadium on Tuesday, March 20.

This is the first semi-professional international clash in more than six years, and assisting Jones will be former professional and current S4C Sgorio pundit Owain Tudor-Jones.

Gosset has played a key role for the Citizens under Kevin Nicholson throughout the campaign, with the midfielder also boasting Football League experience with Oldham Athletic.

The international boss, said: “ Jones has been one of the standout performers for Tudno this season and recently was recently nominated for the JD Welsh Premier League’s Player of the Month after a number of impressive display under Iwan Williams.

The international boss, said: “Danny is a permanent fixture in a Bangor team who are in the top two, and as a holding midfielder I would go as far to say he is the best in the league.

“Toby can open doors and is very quick and has edged his way in with his good performances and that is what we are saying to any Welsh players playing in the league.”

There was further good news for City as highly-touted prospect Guto Williams has been called up as one of the two players to train with the squad in camp.

Tudor-Jones, added: “The beauty of the squad is that we have different options and good experienced players who can also score goals.

"On their day each of them are brilliant and can play a huge part, but it is up to the players to impress and stake place in the team."

The clash will be streamed live on the Sgorio Facebook page and on their official website, and tickets for the game are priced at £7 adults, senior citizen’s £3 and under 16’s £1.
