PRESTATYN Town have been fined for two separate incidents during recent JD Welsh Premier League fixtures.

The Seasiders were given the sanctions following incidents at Newtown and Bala Town earlier in the season, which comes to a total of £1,150.

A WPL statement, said: “Prestatyn Town were fined £600 (£300 suspended) and £50 costs for the failure of its players to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion or fail to refrain from violence, threatening, abusive, obscene or provocative behaviour, conduct or language during their game with Newtown.

“Prestatyn were fined £100 and £50 costs for the failure of its supporter(s) to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion or fail to refrain from violence, threatening, abusive, obscene or provocative behaviour, conduct or language in the JD WPL match between Bala Town and Prestatyn Town played on December 30.

“Prestatyn were also fined £300 & £50 costs for the throwing of bottle(s) or any other potentially harmful or dangerous object(s) at the same game.”

Former Seasiders’ assistant Chris Hughes, not the boss at Newtown, was given a four-match touchline suspension following the incident against his old club, which also saw him hit with a personal fine of £275.

The top flight basement dwellers take on the Robins at The Motion Finance Stadium on Saturday in a must-win game as they look to improve their chances of beating the drop.
