TWO maritime clubs are considering joining forces in order to restore dinghy sailing to Rhyl's Marine Lake.
The move follows two open days held at the Rhyl Yacht Club on Foryd Road.
As reported in the Journal recently, former yacht club commodore David Claytonis keen to get some of the club's currently unused dinghies back on the lake and encourage more people in the Rhyl area to enjoy sailing.
Mr Clayton, said: “We had a very good attendance over the two days and overall it was very successful.
“We are discussing with Roger Pendleton of the Sea Cadets about the possibility of combining our interests and teaching some 10 of the sea cadets to sail.”
The yacht club will now hold taster days on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13 when anyone interested will invited to try the dinghies on the water.
