LLANDUDNO Amateurs have been crowned Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Division One champions with a thumping 7-1 win at Llanrwst United Reserves.

The away side secured the crown thanks to a dazzling first half display, which saw Todd Davies, Mike Lauchlan, Aaron Rogers and Sean Sharp all hitting the target.

They followed this up with three more after the interval through Mark Kelly (2) and David Hughes, to round off another superb overall display to seal promotion.

Llandudno Athletic confirmed their runners-up spot with a resounding 4-0 home triumph over St Asaph City Reserves.

A two-goal salvo from Jamie Moorhouse did the majority of the damage, with Danny Talbot and Jack Williams also on target.

Ryan Williams’ dramatic strike on 89 minutes was enough to give Denbigh Development a 2-1 home success over Betws-y-Coed, while Scott Court and Sam Gallagher netted for Rhos United in their 2-1 victory over Rhuddlan Town.

Llanfairfechan Town boosted their hopes of a top two Premier Division finish with a 2-0 home win over Machno United.

A tense first period brought little in the way of opportunities for either side, but the hosts turned on the style after the break and were rewarded on 68 minutes when James Corey opened the scoring.

This was followed by a fine strike from Curtis Murray after 78 minutes, and the win sees them move level with second placed Llansannan with two games in hand.

Old Colwyn eased their relegation fears thanks to a thrilling 5-4 home victory over Cerrigydrudion.

A brace apiece from Jake Parkes and Joel Messam sealed the points for the home side, who managed to hold on despite stoppage time efforts from Nidian Jones and Rob Jones ensuring a nervy end to proceedings.
