TITLE chasing Cerrigydrudion returned to action with a thrilling 4-4 home draw with Bro Cernyw.

The visitors opened the scoring on five minutes when Steve Parry found the net, but they were pegged back on nine when Andrew Hessian levelled matters with a neat finish.

This provoked a strong response from the away side, who scored twice in quick succession shortly before the break through Tom Sheridan and Parry, before Ciran Jones reduced the arrears on 46 minutes.

Parry rounded off an outstanding day at the office with his hat-trick on 50, but Cerrig resuced a share of the spoiles thanks to efforts from Rob Kimberly and Nidian Jones.

Y Glannau began the second half of the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division campaign with a 4-2 triumph over Machno United.

A treble from Shane Evans did the majority of the damage, with Chris McQuillan adding the fourth in stoppage time. Rob Lloyd hit a brace for the visitors.

Llandudno Athletic moved to the Division One summit thanks to a resounding 8-3 success at Betws-y-Coed.

Two goals apiece from Jamie Moorhouse and Danny Talbot gave them a healthy advantage, with Alex Stokes, Ben Seager, Nathan Williams and Jack Williams completing the rout.

Llysfaen began the New Year on the right note in their 3-1 victory over Llanfairfechan Town Reserves thanks to strikes from Nathan Russell, Chris Morris and Jack Reynolds, while a brace each from Ste Collins and Aaron Bell featured in Rhos United’s 3-3 draw with St Asaph City Reserves.
