PRESTATYN Town defender Jack Lewis has signed for Huws Gray Alliance side Flint Town United.
The experienced left-back was an ever present in Neil Gibson’s title and promotion winning squad last term, and joins ex-Rhyl boss Niall McGuinness at the Silkmen as they look to make an impression after a season of underachievement in the second tier so far.
Lewis, who also possesses a devastating long throw and is a significant threat in the air, has also turned out for Neath, Airbus Broughton and the Lilywhites, in addition to a spell in Australia.
McGuinness described Lewis as a “strong, athletic defender with great technical ability”, and he will be named in the squad for United’s home clash with FC Queen’s Park on Saturday.
It promises to be a busy January transfer window at the Motion Finance Stadium, with Gibson looking to strengthen all areas of the squad in a bid to avoid relegation from the JD Welsh Premier League in their first season back at the top of the pyramid.
