RHYL FC brought some Christmas cheer to the Children’s ward at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd recently.
The squad, together with the management committee, visited the site on Tuesday, December 19, where they spoke to staff, children and their families throughout their stay.
They also dished out a large number of presents to the children, many of whom will be spending Christmas in hospital.
Interim manager Mark Connolly, who led the tour round the ward with the majority of the first team squad, said: “It’s important that the players appreciate the community they represent and the players were all delighted to have the opportunity to visit the hospital.
“The children were delighted to receive the gifts and spend time with the players and special thanks goes to the staff on the ward who were able to assist the club with this visit.”
This is the latest in a long line of community initiatives by the Lilywhites during the festive period, which also saw the club make a significant donation to The King’s Storehouse food bank, which is operated by the Wellspring Christian Centre (WCC).
