RHUDDLAN Town advanced to the semi-finals of the Mackenzie Jones Clwyd League Premier Cup after a thrilling 4-3 penalty shoot-out at Trefnant Village.
The match was tied 2-2, with goals from Graham Owen amd Simon Jones for Trefi and Jamie Fox-Byrne and Stuart Hayes for Town who went on to win the spot kick battle..
In the semis Rhuddlan will face either Penmaenmawr Phoenix or Abergele Rovers whose quarter-final tie was rained off.
In the Premier Division, bottom side Llansannan upset the odds by holding title challengers Flint Town United to a 3-3 draw at Cae Chwarae with goals from Dafydd Owen, Gwion Evans and Eryl Evans.
In the Premier Cup semis Llansannan will take on Aston Park Rangers, who knocked out Llandyrnog United Reserves 2-1.
Aztec Sports suffered a heavy 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Sychdyn in Division One, while Betws-yn-Rhos were whipped 7-0 at champions-elect Greenfield.Y Glannau went down 6-3 at home to Brynford United despite goals from Gareth Davies and Meirion Edwards (2). Point of Ayr were beaten 3-0 at home by Cerrigydrudion.
