RHYL continued their run of impressive performances, outclassing the young, talented Seasiders at Belle Vue last Saturday.
All the goals came from newcomers to the Lilywhites with Neil Roberts bagging two first half headers with Jamie Reed and Carl Owen adding the others in the second half.
It was Roberts who set the ball rolling after five minutes when he stooped to he
ad home from close range following a long throw in from Mark Connolly and Roberts nabbed his second with a powerful header from Josh Johnson's cross.
Reed was unlucky to see his close range effort blocked on the line but Blackpool were always dangerous on the break and it took a flying fingertip save from Lee Kendall to keep a Dominic Morrella shot out.
The second half started in scrappy fashion but Reed found the net on 55 minutes when he fired home Greg Stones' flick following a Gareth Owen corner.
Rhyl began a series of substitutions and it was Marc Lloyd Williams who could have grabbed hat trick in a couple of minutes. His first effort just cleared the bar.
Halstead then smothered the ball as Lloyd Williams tried to round him and then the vintage striker was unlucky to hit a post following a neat turn on the edge of the box.
It was another substitute who showed Lloyd Williams how to do it but it was 'Jiws' who laid on the chance.
Carl Owen was perfectly placed to fire home under Halstead with his first touch when the ball was laid into his path by the unselfish Lloyd Williams.
On Saturday Rhyl face Bradford Park Avenue at Belle Vue, kick off 2.30pm.
The Yorkshire side are managed by former Rhyl favourite Dave Cameron and feature a couple of well known faces to the Belle Vue faithful.
Before the main event the newly formed Rhyl Youth side will take on their Park Avenue counterparts, this match kicks off at 12 noon.
