RELEGATION threatened Sunny Rhyl clawed their way closer to safety by grabbing a crucial 6-4 win over main rivals Deganwy Jones Roofing at the Botanical Gardens.
The second-from-bottom former champions just shaded the aggregate by nine points after the teams had finished deadlocked with four wins each. On the points count-back Sunny Rhyl took the two bonus points by a 145-136.

Top block Lewis Scott pulled off a 21-6 win to send leaders St Asaph A storming to a 9-5 victory at Rhuddlan A to retain their Division A title by a distance.
A disappointing 8-6 defeat for rivals Sunny Rhyl A at Dyserth A meant that the super Saints are an unassailable 40 points clear of the field nearing the finishing line and beyond reach.
