Rhyl teenager Tesni Evans crowned a great year by winning the Swiss Open title in Zurich just months after turning professional.
Eighteen-year-old Tesni defeated her Prestatyn-based Stars Academy stable-mate Hannah Davies of Wrexham 3-0 in the showpiece final of the girls Under-19s event. This was her third consecutive Swiss Junior triumph and the ninth European triumph of her young career.
In the space of a few weeks Tesni has moved up 90 places in the world rankings to a best-ever 134 that makes her number 3 in the latest European rankings just out.
Her younger brother Emyr Evans has moved up to number 13 in Europe after reaching the quarter-finals of the Boys Under-15s event in Zurich with Saints trio Jordan Davies also 13 in the Boys Under-17s and Alex Pendleton 15 with Lowri Roberts ranked 15 in the Girls Under-15s.
In the North Wales League, Saints Seconds came from behind to beat Holywell 3-2 led by Keith Hulse, Pete Townsend and Simon Bryan while Saints Juniors maintained their storming run with a 3-2 win at Beaufort Park.
Rolf Major and Sam Wallace made it all-square before young hero Ollie Major fought back from 2-down to snatch the verdict in a five-game decider.
