Corwen 89-5
Corwen won by five wickets

ABERGELE slumped to a five-wicket defeat in a low-scoring contest against Corwen.

It took 34.4 overs for Abergele to lose all ten wickets for 88 runs, with David Moulson top scoring with 18, closely followed by Selwyn Williams and Amer Jamil, who both got 16.

After the turn-around, Corwen began chasing down the modest target, but a couple of LBW’s from Jamil and Nathan Aldridge early in the match gave hope for an unlikely victory.

Corwen’s Matthew Duckworth settled the tie, however, coming in at number three to score 42 runs to guide his side to victory.

Graham Price took the key Duckworth wicket, as well as his best partner Duncan Roberts, but it was too little, too late for Gele, who now sit twelve points above the relegation spots in Division Two.

Conwy II 136-8
Abergele II 26 all out
Conwy II won by 110 runs

GELE SECONDS suffered a heavy defeat away to Conwy, losing by 110 runs in just 15.4 overs.

Seven of Abergele’s XI were bowled out for a duck, as they managed to put together a meagre 26 runs in reply to Conwy’s total of 136.

Aculate Reddy, Rick Ashby and Abid Awan each took two wickets, but the collapse from the batting proved decisive in this one sided encounter.
